Welcome to Nordie’s
at Noon News! We hope this edition of our newsletter finds you having
enjoyed the beauty of the spring season and preparing for a memorable
summer.

Exciting News!
Because of your support and the overwhelming positive response to Nordie’s
at Noon, we were picked up by a publisher! In the Fall of 2006, Da Capo
Lifelong Books will release the second edition of Nordie’s at Noon,
on a national basis.
We are quite excited about this development and have found Da Capo Lifelong
Books to be a great fit for us, as they feature a wide array of authors
and books on topics such as health, pregnancy, parenting and fitness.
Da Capo Lifelong Books also publishes Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book—a
book known to some as the “Bible” on breast cancer.
The second edition of Nordie’s at Noon will be released in hardback
and will feature a new cover design. To learn more about our publisher,
visit their website.
Please note, in order for the distribution channels for the book to be
ready for the release of the second edition, book sales on our website
ended on April 30. However, some retailers will continue to sell through
their books as they gear up for the national launch this Fall.
Also, we do continue to have limited quantities of the first edition book
available. If you need a book between now and September, please contact
us at via the button link below.
2006 Events & Activities
The Spring season was filled with many book signing and speaking engagements
that will continue into the Summer months. We have also already begun
to schedule events for this Fall. If you would like for us to participate
or speak at your event, please email us as far ahead of the event as possible via the button link below.
Author Credit Omission
On page 220 of Nordie’s at Noon, the poem “The Best Day of
My Life” is credited as “Author Unknown.” Since the
release of the book, we have located the author of this poem, and want
to provide due credit to Gregory M. Lousignont, Ph.D. at this time.
We have contacted Dr. Lousignont and notified him of this omission, and
are grateful to have received his permission include the poem in the second
edition of the book. Thank you, Dr. Lousignont, for your permission to
reprint your work, and for writing such a poignant poem that has served
as an inspiration to us, and so many others.
Did you know that you are helping to make a difference in the breast cancer
community, with each book purchased?
With each book sold, we are donating a portion of our net proceeds to
various non-profit breast cancer organizations. Last year we made donations
to the American Cancer Society breast cancer programs, the Ribbons of
Pink Foundation Fund, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and
the Young Survival Coalition.
Wishing you health & happiness,
