Welcome to Nordie's at Noon News! We hope this edition of our newsletter finds you enjoying the holiday season, and anticipation for an exciting new year.

We want to begin our newsletter with a big thank you to each of you who helped make the launch of Nordie's at Noon a success!

For your purchases! Because of you, we had a successful book launch this October… and the momentum continues. In the Kansas City area, we were pleasantly surprised when book stores contacted us to request the books be carried in their stores — thank you for visiting your local stores and creating this need. Our book is currently available at nearly 30 locations in Kansas, Missouri and California. If there is not a retailer near you, you may purchase the book on-line at www.nordiesatnoon.com/buy and via mail order.

For attending our events! October through early December were a very busy time, and with each event we enjoyed making new friends and visiting with old friends. For more information and a complete listing about our past events, visit www.nordiesatnoon.com/events. Also, please check our web site in early 2006 to view our event photos.

For your feedback! We are grateful for the positive feedback many of you have taken the time to provide to us. When we receive the feedback it validates the purpose of the book, and helps us realize the great need for people to read Nordie’s at Noon. Below is a sample of some of the feedback we have received to-date. If you wish to give feedback about the book, please email us via the button link below.

“If you haven't picked up Nordie's at Noon, don't miss it. The book is absolutely wonderful. It is EXACTLY the book I needed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35… The book is honest and touching. I could not put it down. You will need to keep a tissue handy, but you will walk away feeling hopeful. This groundbreaking book on how breast cancer affects young women is a must-read for anyone newly diagnosed.”

“This book is amazing. Funny, heartwarming, poignant, helpful. I recommend it highly to each of you and as a gift for someone(s) you love this coming holiday season.”

“I wanted to tell you that I finished the book and WOW! What to say — I cried, learned, put things in perspective, and I have to say it was really a kick to remind me about my self exams!”

“Your book is truly inspirational and should be read by everyone...it is so much more about how to live rather than a book about cancer…I believe this book is a huge step in your effort to not help one person but to help many — and it will touch anyone who reads it.”

Calling all book club members!

We are delighted that several book clubs notified us that they have selected Nordie’s at Noon as their book of the month! In an effort to help support the book clubs and encourage enriching discussion, we are currently developing discussion points for the book. Please check our web site in early 2006 to download your copy of the discussion points.

2006 Events & Activities

We are currently scheduling our 2006 events and ask that you check our web site for updates in early 2006. Also, if you would like for us to participate in your event, or if you would like for any of us to speak at an event, please email us via the button link below.

Did you know that you are helping to make a difference in the breast cancer community, with each book purchased?

With each book sold, we are donating a portion of our net proceeds to various non-profit breast cancer organizations. This year, we will make donations to the American Cancer Society breast cancer programs, the Ribbons of Pink Foundation Fund, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Young Survival Coalition.

Wishing you a healthy and happy holiday season!
